A Farewell

Here are some pictures of Matt, Alina & Karis from their California days...

They are leaving tomorrow. I will see Alina and Karis in a couple days at Jessica's wedding, but really I am just pushing off my sorrow at their departure. They have been amazing friends to me! I watched Matt and Alina fall in love, get married, go through seminary, move to California, and I was there at Karis's birth. Alina has fought with me to create real change in my life. They have encouraged me and prayed for me as I have taken Rachel into my life. They are more family than friends. They bridge my Covenant College world, my California life, and my family. They have been such an encouragement at difficult times, so much fun in times of joy, so honest always. Their departure is a true loss to me, my church, and our little group of friends here. In there last little bit of time here they have really made an effort to get to know and love Rachel. It is a gift that will last for our life time I am sure. Here more pictures, I am missing some important ones, I'll have to add later, but no matter how many moments they catch they can never reflect how much this family means to me .
