Angela

Angela is my brother David's girlfriend. She is just about the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. She grew up with parent's who were Catholic but never really went to mass. She has been wanting to learn about the Lord for a long time, and his been going to church with my family faithfully since before Christmas. She has been asking more and more questions about God. In January I took her to buy her first Bible. We have been talking about doing a Bible study together but the busyness of our lives had made that difficult. Today we decided to skip Sunday School and do our long anticipated Bible Study. I started by asking her to say what she thought it meant to be a Christian. She said, "well that's kind of what I want to know." It was such a privilege to be able to share the gospel with someone so eager to know. I read to her from the children's bible about the Fall, the birth of Jesus, and the death and resurrection of Jesus. These were all pieces of the Bible she had read on her own but didn't really understand. Even though I think God has been at work in her for a long time she prayed the prayer of faith today. It was so AWESOME! We are going to use the children's Bible to try to give her an overview of the Bible. I am so excited!

Rachel and I have been having a really great weekend. She started talking about the future a lot and even said tonight, "hurry up and adopt me." I was shocked. As we kept talking about it she said it was just because she was "tired of foster care rules." I told her that there must be days that she felt that she did want to be adopted and other days that she didn't and that was ok. She agreed. Tonight at bedtime she asked me all kinds of questions about Christianity. Then she said that she wants to be baptized. I am pretty sure the Holy Spirit is moving in my house today! I have had friends that I have prayed for and talked with about Christ for years with no commitment. To have these souls seeking Christ right before me is such wonder! Only God can have the glory for this!

I can only imagine what that must feel like. The deep soul excitement!
I have prayed for so many people faithfully, anticipating the moment when I can have that same experience. God is so faithful, I know He has great plans for my friends. I just can not wait to see it happen before my eyes. I am so happy for you Brookie :) It looks like He has made you into "a fisher of men."
Just think! All this hardship has let your friends see a faith that has been tested and found true.Perhaps, God's plan is not just limited to you and Rach.
Have a wonderful night my friend~ Love Wendy
